Welcome Players and Parents!

Granite State Kids' Junior Team Tennis uses a team concept that emphasizes fun, fitness, and friends. The focus is on enjoying the exhilaration of exercise and refining the skills that make tennis fun at all ages and levels of competition. USTA Junior Team Tennis is the largest youth tennis program in the country, helping boys and girls ages 5 to 18 get in the game, get on court, and have a great time.

All levels of play are available from beginner through advanced. The emphasis is on developing skills through play, fun, teamwork and friendly competition plus the possibility of advancing to state, section, and national championships.

Recreational and Competitive Play is available. 

This year we'll continue the QuickStart and Short Court formats. A shortened court, modified balls, and smaller rackets are used to introduce younger players and beginners to tennis and start them playing right away.

Play will be available at the Bedford County Road courts.

Recreational Options:

• Ages 5 - 7 years - Quick Start (36' court, foam balls, smaller rackets)
• Ages 8 - 10 years - 60' Short Court
• Ages 11 - 18 years - Beginner - Short Court
  

Competitive Division Levels:

• 14 & Under Intermediate, 3.0 NTRP* and below
• 14 & Under Advanced, 3.5 NTRP and above
• 18 & Under Intermediate, 3.0 NTRP and below
• 18 & Under Advanced, 3.5 NTRP and above

Age Eligibility Requirements: 14 & Under: Player can't turn 15 before Aug. 31, 2009; 18 & Under: Player can't turn 19 before Aug. 31, 2009

How Can I Sign Up and Play?

The 2009 Registration Form is available here. Please download and complete the form and mail it with payment to Granite State Kids CTA, P.O. Box 10038, Bedford, NH 03110. 2009. 

   Season Dates: 

Player Registration Start Date: April 1, 2009
Team Registration Deadline: May 30, 2009 
Summer Season Start Date: June 29, 2009
State Championship: August 6, 2009
Sectionals: August 18-19, 2009
Nationals: October 23-25, 2009 (Ages 14 and under); October 30-Nov. 1 (Ages 18 and under)

Coaches/Captains Needed:

All teams must have a coach or captain, teams are also encourage to have a designated assistant coach or captain because a team coach or captain must be present at all matches. If you are interested in becoming a coach/captain please contact Diane Phelps. 

Background screenings are required for all coaches. details...

Current Coaches: Contact Diane Phelps to register your team and select your team colors.

Weather policy: All activities are scheduled at outside facilities. Matches cancelled due to rain may be rescheduled at coach's discretion.
